Details of the accord are not fully known, but Iranian media reports suggest it includes a halt to aggression in all Middle Eastern regions, particularly Lebanon, and the departure of U.S. forces from areas near Iran. The agreement also reportedly covers the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz under Iranian control, compensation for Iran over U.S.-Israel attacks, the release of frozen Iranian funds, and a framework for a nuclear deal. Iran's state television reported that Iran "forced" the U.S. to accept its peace terms. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who mediated the talks between Washington and Tehran, confirmed the agreement. He announced that the official signing ceremony will take place on Friday, June 19, in Switzerland. Sharif stated that both parties have agreed to an immediate and permanent cessation of military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon.
