US Support for Iran War Dips to 31%, Trump Approval Hits Record Low

The erosion of support is particularly notable among Republicans, the president's base. Support for the war within the Republican party has decreased from 77 percent in March to 69 percent in the latest survey. Overall, 83 percent of those polled do not believe the conflict will conclude anytime soon, reflecting a widespread sentiment of prolonged engagement.

This growing opposition to the war appears to be taking a toll on President Donald Trump's approval ratings. The same poll reveals that only 33 percent of Americans believe Trump is doing a good job as president, marking the lowest approval rating recorded during both his first and second terms. Trump himself has dismissed poll results, accusing Democrats of spreading false surveys.

The Ipsos poll, conducted for Reuters, carries a margin of error of 3 percentage points. The findings suggest a challenging political landscape for the administration, marked by public fatigue with foreign conflicts and declining confidence in presidential leadership.
