USA: FBI Uncovers Armed Attack Plot for Trump's Birthday Event

Federal authorities have uncovered a plot for an armed assault targeting an event held on Donald Trump's birthday, according to court documents unsealed Tuesday. The FBI received credible threat information four days prior to the event, which was a mixed martial arts competition.

Online discussions surrounding the planned attack involved 23 individuals, and the FBI has arrested at least five people suspected of involvement, sources told the Associated Press. One of the arrested individuals, a 19-year-old from Ohio, was apprehended after his mother alerted authorities to his suspicious ammunition purchases and online conversations.

The group members stated that they want to protect the United States, which they believe is going in the wrong direction. The group members believed that the United States must be completely demolished so that it can be rebuilt.

A search of the suspect's residence yielded thousands of rounds of ammunition, multiple magazines, and other combat gear. Close associates of the young man expressed concern over his sympathetic remarks about Adolf Hitler and anti-Semitic comments posted on Facebook. He faces charges including attempted murder and weapons offenses, having spent approximately $3,000 of his graduation money on firearms.

Members of the discussion group, who described themselves as Christians and former soldiers, reportedly aimed to initiate a widespread revolution. According to a sworn affidavit, group members believed the United States was heading in the wrong direction and needed to be completely dismantled and rebuilt. Some expressed a desire to prevent individuals associated with Jeffrey Epstein from controlling the country. The group also discussed corruption and other perceived wrongdoings by the administration, including data centers allegedly exploiting community water resources.
