Vandals trash kindergarten playground in Blanden

Vandals have targeted the De Lijsterboom kindergarten in Blanden, Belgium, causing significant damage to the children's playground over the weekend. The incident, discovered Tuesday morning, involved perpetrators breaking into the outdoor toy storage shed.

According to Mayor Bart Clerckx, the scene was one of chaos. Toys were found on the school roof, scattered over the fence, and strewn across the roadside. The vandals not only broke into the shed but also damaged many of the toys, leaving the playground in disarray.

The municipality has filed a police report and is appealing to the public for information. "You just stay away from each other's belongings," the mayor stated, expressing disappointment and emphasizing that such acts are not amusing. The school's fence is not high, and there are no security cameras, making the playground vulnerable.
