Vázquez: This is Spain – celebrations without burning cars or looting shops

Spanish footballer Lucas Vázquez has lauded the nation's fans for their exemplary celebrations following the national team's second World Cup triumph. The Bayer Leverkusen player, a former Real Madrid forward, expressed his satisfaction with the peaceful manner in which millions celebrated the victory across the country.

"Without breaking traffic lights, without setting cars on fire, without looting shops... Simply Spain," Vázquez posted on Instagram, commending the fans for their conduct. His statement contrasted sharply with the more disruptive celebrations that have sometimes accompanied major sporting victories in other parts of the world.

Millions of Spaniards took to the streets immediately after the final match against Argentina, which Spain won 1-0, to celebrate the team's second star. The celebrations were largely peaceful, a stark difference from the events in France in late May when PSG fans celebrated a Champions League win, resulting in numerous injuries and arrests.

Spain's victory marks its second World Cup title, adding to the one secured in 2010 in South Africa. The orderly and joyous celebrations across Spain underscored a sense of national pride and unity following the team's achievement.
