Venezuelan clubs lead Copa Venezuela after third matchday

The Copa Venezuela's group stage has reached its midpoint, with several Liga Futve clubs asserting dominance. Monagas, Caracas FC, and Rayo Zuliano have all maintained their undefeated streaks, leading their respective groups after the third round of matches. This strong start positions them well as the tournament progresses.

While top teams are excelling, other clubs are struggling to find their footing. Deportivo Miranda, Real Frontera, Aragua, Deportivo Lara, and Bolívar are among those yet to record a victory. Their winless runs highlight the challenges they face in the early stages of the competition.

Monagas, in particular, has shown impressive form, securing their third consecutive win by defeating Bolívar 1-3. Goals from Dioner Fuentes, Edder Farías, and Andrés Romero secured the victory. This adds to their earlier wins against Dynamo Puerto and Mineros de Guayana, placing them at the top of Group E with nine points. Farías continues to be a key player, ranking among the top scorers in the tournament.

In the same group, Mineros de Guayana bounced back with a decisive 6-0 victory over Dynamo Puerto, marking their first win. The match saw a standout performance from 20-year-old Juan Méndez, who scored a hat-trick, complemented by goals from Tomás Zamora, Santiago Alegría, and Sebastián Meneses. Caracas and Rayo Zuliano also secured important wins, reaching seven points in their respective groups. Caracas defeated Barquisimeto 3-1, while Rayo Zuliano's Cristian Maldonado scored all three goals in their victory over Ureña.
