Venustiano Carranza launches scholarship program for 3,000 students

The Venustiano Carranza mayor's office in Mexico City has announced the opening of its seventh "BECARRANZA" scholarship program, aiming to support 3,000 students pursuing education from secondary school to the doctoral level. This initiative seeks to offer new educational opportunities to residents, particularly those who did not secure their first-choice placement or are dissatisfied with their current academic assignments.

The scholarships will be available for both in-person and online study, in collaboration with eight private educational institutions. The program offers significant financial aid, with discounts on tuition ranging from 30% to 100%. The participating institutions will provide a wide array of academic programs and degrees to accommodate diverse student needs.

Registration for the "BECARRANZA" program begins on August 14, 2026. The official awarding of scholarships is scheduled for August 31, and will take place at the Venustiano Carranza Cultural Center, located in the Jardín Balbuena neighborhood.
