Samuel Shekwolo, the Chairman of Kuje Area Council in Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory, has issued a stark warning to residents: support the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) or leave the council. This ultimatum, delivered in a social media video, directly links continued residency to political allegiance ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Shekwolo justified his stance by citing the developmental projects undertaken by President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, in Kuje. He argued that residents benefiting from these interventions should not vote against the APC. "It's either you are doing APC or leave the area council; I'm not hiding that," Shekwolo declared, emphasizing that he would not tolerate residents accepting administration benefits while planning to vote for opposition parties.

Shekwolo himself was elected chairman in February 2026 on the APC platform.
