Video: The exact moment a supermarket warehouse caught fire in Río Negro

A massive fire ravaged the warehouse of the supermarket chain La Anónima in Cipolletti, Río Negro, during the early hours of Tuesday. The blaze erupted around 3 a.m. in a facility located on Tres Arroyos street, adjacent to the train tracks, prompting a large emergency response.

Flames quickly engulfed the structure, leading to the partial collapse of the roof and some walls. According to reports, the smoke plume was visible from Neuquén, and the losses at the site are expected to be total. Firefighters from Cipolletti, Fernández Oro, Cinco Saltos, and Neuquén worked to control the fire, supported by Civil Defense and medical personnel.

Authorities cordoned off Tres Arroyos street and nearby access points for safety and cut off electricity to surrounding sectors. While no fatalities or serious injuries have been reported, one employee received medical attention for smoke inhalation. All personnel inside the establishment were evacuated as a precaution. Residents reported hearing increasingly intense explosions during the night.

The origin of the fire remains under investigation. Specialists will begin their assessment once the flames are fully controlled and cooling operations are complete.
