Vietnam National Player Doãn Ngọc Tân Departs CLB Thanh Hóa

Doãn Ngọc Tân, a prominent player for CLB Thanh Hóa and the Vietnamese national team, is set to depart the club at the end of the current season. The announcement follows a recent 0-2 loss to CLB Ninh Bình, adding a somber note for the team.

Tân, who joined Thanh Hóa in 2021 from CLB Hải Phòng, has been a significant asset to the team. His career trajectory saw a notable rise after joining Thanh Hóa, leading to his call-up to the national squad for the AFF Cup 2024, where Vietnam emerged victorious. He was a consistent starter, playing in 17 matches and starting 16 in the V-League 2025-2026 season, despite a fibula fracture in April 2025.

In a farewell address to his teammates, the 32-year-old player expressed his gratitude and well wishes for their future success. "After this season, Tân will no longer be with Thanh Hóa with you brothers. I wish you health and success in the new season. Wherever I am, I will follow all of you and cherish this time," he said.

Tân's departure was anticipated, as several clubs had shown interest in him as his contract neared its end. His next destination remains undisclosed. Coincidentally, with Tân's exit, CLB Thanh Hóa has officially secured their league status for the upcoming season, finishing four points above the relegation zone with 25 points after 25 rounds. Their final match of the season is an away game against Đà Nẵng on June 7.
