Vietnam weather: Intense heat and scattered thunderstorms forecast for June 6

Vietnam is bracing for a day of intense heat and sunshine on June 6, with the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicting hot weather across the country. Northern Vietnam will see sunny days, with the central and northern delta regions experiencing heatwaves, with temperatures potentially reaching 35-37 degrees Celsius, and some spots exceeding 37 degrees.

Further south, from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang and the eastern part of Dak Lak province, the heat is expected to be even more severe, with temperatures potentially climbing to 35-38 degrees Celsius, and some areas experiencing exceptionally intense heat above 39 degrees Celsius.

While sunny conditions prevail during the day, the forecast includes a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening for the Central Highlands and southern regions. These storms could bring localized heavy rain, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind, posing a risk to those in affected areas.

Specific forecasts for major cities include Hanoi experiencing hot sunny weather with temperatures between 34-36 degrees Celsius. Ho Chi Minh City will also see scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, with temperatures ranging from 33-35 degrees Celsius.
