Vietnam Workers' Football Championship: 6 Southern Teams Advance to National Finals

The southern region qualifiers for the 2026 Vietnam Workers' Football Championship have concluded, with six teams securing their places in the national finals. The competition, a significant event for laborers across Vietnam, saw strong performances from various provincial delegations.

Gia Lai, Dong Nai 2, SACOMBANK, Dong Nai 4, and Thanh Thang Thang Long TP.HCM have all advanced. SACOMBANK, the reigning champion, continues to demonstrate its dominance in the 2026 season. Dong Nai province has shown impressive strength, with three of its four participating teams qualifying for the next stage.

The tournament, now in its fourth year, brings together 48 teams from across the country. It serves as a vital platform for promoting physical fitness and enriching the cultural lives of workers. The total prize money for the event reaches 900 million Vietnamese dong, with the national champion receiving 200 million dong. The event is supported by THACO as a diamond sponsor, along with other partners like Revive, Dong Luc Sports Group, VTVcab, and FPT Play, highlighting the tournament's community and solidarity values.

The southern regional qualifiers ran from June 7 to 10, 2026. The national finals are scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City from July 16 to 19, 2026, concluding the season's journey.
