Vietnamese firefighters rescue man who fell into well while repairing pump

A dramatic rescue operation unfolded in Gia Lai province, Vietnam, where firefighters successfully saved a 56-year-old man who had fallen into a well. The incident occurred on August 23rd when the man, identified as Mr. C.V.T. from Tri Binh village, Hoa Hoi commune, was attempting to repair a water pump.

While working inside the well, Mr. T. unfortunately lost his grip and fell to the bottom. Alerted by the situation, local residents quickly contacted the authorities, prompting an immediate response from the Gia Lai Provincial Firefighting and Rescue Police.

Responding to the emergency call, the Firefighting and Rescue Police Department dispatched a team of 13 officers and two fire trucks from Regional Firefighting and Rescue Team No. 9. Upon arrival at the scene, the rescue team swiftly assessed the situation and began their operation to reach Mr. T. trapped at the bottom of the well.

Using specialized rescue equipment and ropes, the firefighters carefully descended into the well, secured the victim, and then hoisted him to safety. Following the successful rescue, Mr. T. was found to have sustained only minor injuries. He was subsequently handed over to his family for continued care and recovery.
