VinFast VF 3 becomes police car in Indonesia

The Indonesian National Traffic Police have adopted the VinFast VF 3 electric vehicle for their ETLE Drone Patrol Presisi system. The compact car, manufactured in Vietnam, has been customized with the police's signature white and blue colors, reflective graphics, and a warning light bar on the roof. The rear of the vehicle has been modified to house a large container for operating and storing the drone, along with a wind speed measuring device to support aerial traffic monitoring.

VinFast's small electric car, measuring 3,190mm in length, 1,679mm in width, and 1,652mm in height with a 2,075mm wheelbase, is noted for its suitability in congested urban environments and limited parking spaces. Its 175mm ground clearance and 16-inch wheels with 175/75 R16 tires are advantageous for various road conditions.

The VF 3 is powered by a rear-mounted electric motor producing 40 horsepower and 110Nm of torque. It is equipped with an 18.64kWh LFP battery, offering a range of approximately 215km on a full charge. The vehicle also supports fast charging, capable of reaching 70% charge from 10% in about 36 minutes.

With its suitable operating range and agile urban performance, the VinFast VF 3 is deemed capable of supporting the traffic police's drone surveillance and violation enforcement operations in Indonesia.
