Vladimir Putin Congratulates Kyrgyzstan on Independence Day

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent Independence Day greetings to Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and the people of Kyrgyzstan, with the message published by Kyrgyzstan’s Presidential Administration.

Putin said Kyrgyzstan was addressing social and economic issues and strengthening its international standing under Japarov’s leadership. He also described relations between Moscow and Bishkek as developing dynamically in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance.

Russia and Kyrgyzstan cooperate through several regional organizations, including the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Eurasian Economic Union, the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.

Putin said the two countries would continue working closely on bilateral, regional and international issues. He added that an upcoming meeting in Bishkek would improve mutually beneficial cooperation and contribute to security and stability in Eurasia. He concluded by wishing Japarov good health and success, and the Kyrgyz people peace and prosperity.
