Volkswagen globally premieres new ID. Cross electric SUV

Volkswagen has globally premiered its new ID. Cross, an all-electric compact SUV designed to be a practical yet agile vehicle. This latest model joins Volkswagen's new generation of small and compact electric cars, aiming to meet customer needs with advanced technology and a user-friendly design.

The ID. Cross boasts a clean exterior and a high-quality interior, incorporating digital features and technologies typically found in higher vehicle classes. It offers three power outputs: 85 kW (116 PS), 99 kW (135 PS), and 155 kW (211 PS), paired with two battery options of 37 kWh and 52 kWh. The SUV can achieve a maximum range of 427 kilometers on the WLTP cycle, making it suitable for both daily commutes and longer journeys.

Measuring 4,153 mm in length, 1,794 mm in width, and 1,581 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,601 mm, the ID. Cross utilizes the MEB+ platform. This architecture provides more interior space for five occupants and their luggage compared to the internal combustion engine T-Cross. The main luggage compartment offers 475 liters of capacity, an increase of 20 liters over the T-Cross.

Thomas Schäfer, CEO of the Volkswagen brand, highlighted the ID. Cross's blend of advanced technology, clean design, and practical flexibility. He stated, "The ID.
