Vozinha heads to Chile, Colo Colo announces

Josimar "Vozinha" Dias, the goalkeeper for the Cape Verde national team and a notable figure from the 2026 World Cup, is en route to Chile to complete his transfer to Colo Colo. The 40-year-old player boarded a flight from Madrid and is expected to arrive in Santiago on Sunday evening, as announced by the club. Vozinha's move to the Chilean league leaders has been anticipated for several days, pending the finalization of his visa paperwork and personal matters.

Vozinha, who was recognized by FIFA as part of the fans' ideal World Cup eleven, is set to sign a six-month contract with Colo Colo. The deal includes an option for a 12-month extension into 2027. The goalkeeper joins the club, known as "El Cacique," as a free agent, having concluded his previous contract with Chaves, a second-division team in Portugal.
