Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić asserted that significant investment in the military is essential for the nation's survival, stating that Serbia would be "eaten and swallowed" within 48 hours without it.

Speaking at an election assembly for the Party of United Pensioners, Farmers, and Proletarians of Serbia - Solidarity and Justice (PUPS), Vučić highlighted the importance of military strength in safeguarding the country. "By investing in the army, we protect our sky, our land, and no one will dare to attack us," he declared. He contrasted Serbia's past capabilities with its current strength, noting that while Serbia could once shoot down aggressor planes, today no one would dare attack without facing significantly higher losses.

Vučić urged the PUPS representatives to unite for the upcoming elections, expressing belief in their victory despite "enormous challenges" and "unprecedented pressures from within and outside." He acknowledged that smaller parties can harbor significant ideas and stressed the importance of maintaining a fair relationship with partners, ensuring their satisfaction.
