Sakina Ouzraoui scored the opening goal for the hosts, and Hanan Ait El Haj doubled their lead from the penalty spot. South Africa's Thembi Kgatlana pulled one back in the 67th minute, but Morocco's defense held strong to secure the win.

The semi-final opponent will be determined by Sunday's clash between Nigeria and Cameroon. A potential matchup against Nigeria would be a rematch of the previous WAFCON final, where Morocco lost to the Super Falcons, who secured their 10th continental title.
