WAO Foundation to Host Mother’s Day Charity Festival and Colour Run for Women’s Health in PNG

In Papua New Guinea, the We Are One (WAO) Foundation is spearheading a vital initiative to bolster women's health through two distinct community events scheduled for 2026. This effort, aimed at raising crucial awareness and funds, focuses on the establishment of a dedicated Cervical Screening Centre—a facility critically needed in the country.

The foundation has strategically planned a Mother's Day Charity Music Festival and a Colour Run, opting to host them as separate occasions. This approach allows each event to garner focused attention and maximize its fundraising potential. Both events are designed to be community-driven, fostering a sense of collective responsibility and participation in addressing a significant public health challenge.

The ultimate goal is to create a sustainable resource for women's healthcare, specifically targeting cervical cancer screening.
