Warehouse fire in West Jakarta extinguished, no casualties reported

A warehouse located on Jalan Pos Pengumben Raya in the Kelapa Dua area of Kebun Jeruk, West Jakarta, was engulfed in flames late Thursday night. The fire, which broke out around 11:00 PM Western Indonesian Time, was successfully brought under control and extinguished by the Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency (Gulkarmat DKI Jakarta) without any reported injuries or fatalities.

Upon receiving the report, the fire department swiftly mobilized resources. A total of 17 fire engines and approximately 80 personnel were dispatched in stages to the scene. The firefighting operation commenced shortly after the team's arrival, with crews working diligently to contain the blaze. The fire was localized within about 30 minutes, preventing it from spreading to adjacent structures.

After successfully containing the fire, the team continued with the wetting and cooling process. The entire operation was officially declared complete at 00:32 AM on Friday. While the immediate danger has passed, the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation by the authorities.

Despite the absence of casualties, the fire generated significant traffic disruptions due to the thick, dark smoke that billowed high into the sky, visible from a considerable distance. The spectacle attracted the attention of local residents who gathered near the site to observe the firefighting efforts.
