Warsaw gives its all at the 15th Poland Business Run

Nearly 4,000 people gathered at Warsaw’s Bemowo Airport for a run where the finishing times mattered, but the money raised mattered more.

The 15th Poland Business Run began at 9:30 a.m. after a joint warm-up. A total of 749 five-person relay teams entered the competition, with each participant running 4 kilometers. Families and supporters joined the runners, while PBR Walk offered a 4-kilometer route for participants who preferred to walk and PBR Kids gave younger children a non-timed event.

When I saw almost 4,000 participants in Bemowo, I thought that it was really good to be back in Warsaw.

PepsiCo Dream Team finished as the fastest team in the Warsaw race, recording 1 hour, 11 minutes and 51 seconds. Accenture Team One came second, followed by Raion Fight Club Kraków. Among women’s relay teams, Aniołki Damiana took first place in 1:37:56.

The most important thing is that this shared start helps the Foundation support more people.

The event’s stated purpose was to support people with mobility disabilities, amputees and people who have undergone mastectomies. Agnieszka Pleti, president of the Poland Business Run Foundation, said the participation of returning and first-time teams allowed the foundation to help its beneficiaries. Standard Chartered Poland said more than 130 people had received assistance this year.

The race also emphasized the shared experience around the course. Participants exchanged high-fives, encouraged teammates and took photographs together at the finish. Nationale-Nederlanden entered 18 teams, with corporate communications director and spokeswoman Marta Pokutycka-Mądrala among those who ran.
