Warsaw Police Seize 131 kg of Drugs, Arrest One Suspect

Warsaw police have dismantled a significant drug warehouse in the Mokotów district, confiscating over 131 kilograms of illegal narcotics. The operation led to the arrest of a 27-year-old man who has been charged with participating in the large-scale trade of these substances.

The seized haul includes more than 126 kilograms of marijuana, nearly 3 kilograms of mephedrone, and close to 2 kilograms of MDMA. The total estimated street value of these drugs is approximately 6.7 million Polish zloty (about $1.7 million USD). Authorities also seized over 16,000 Polish zloty in cash.

Investigators had been monitoring a suspect from Konstancin-Jeziorna, suspecting his involvement in storing and distributing drugs in Warsaw. They discovered he was using an apartment in Mokotów as a drug storage facility. Police apprehended the suspect as he left the building and entered a garage, finding him with packaged marijuana and keys to the apartment.

The 27-year-old suspect has been placed in three months of pre-trial detention. He faces a potential prison sentence of up to 12 years if convicted.
