Warsaw reacts as Belarus warns of planned attack on Polish soil

Belarus's Foreign Ministry summoned Poland's charge d'affaires in Minsk on Thursday to issue a warning about an alleged planned attack within Polish territory. The ministry stated the purported plot involves an individual living in Poland who had been convicted in Belarus under several articles of the country's criminal code.

According to Belarus, this individual recently had their additional protection and residency permit in Poland revoked. The ministry claims the person is preparing an attack targeting the minor children of a Belarusian activist living in Poland, allegedly as retaliation for the activist's insufficient efforts to help the individual retain their status in Poland. Belarus indicated it is prepared to provide additional information to relevant Polish services if necessary.
