Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has lauded the party's branch executives, recognizing their sacrifices and dedication as instrumental to the NDC's significant electoral gains in the 2024 general elections. His tribute comes as the region begins its branch elections.

Moore expressed profound gratitude to the grassroots leaders, calling their commitment the engine behind the NDC's impressive performance in Greater Accra. The party secured 29 parliamentary seats across the region's 34 constituencies, exceeding expectations. "We have not forgotten your efforts, dedication and support. We know the sacrifices you made, and we will reward you at the right time," Moore stated, acknowledging the extensive efforts of executives during the campaign.

The regional chairman pointed to the presidential election results in Greater Accra, where President John Dramani Mahama garnered 1,120,719 votes (66.48%), significantly outperforming his opponent. Moore described this outcome as historic for the NDC in the region, crediting the branch executives for their crucial role in mobilizing supporters, strengthening party structures, and disseminating the party's message.

As the NDC embarks on its branch executive elections, scheduled to run over the next month, Moore encouraged candidates to place the party's welfare above all else and to sustain the positive momentum. "I wish each and every one of you the best of luck in the upcoming elections. May the party's interests be your guiding principle, and may you emerge victorious," he said. These elections are anticipated to gauge the NDC's organizational capacity and shape its future leadership.
