Weather: Hot day in Lower Saxony - when temperatures will fall

People in Lower Saxony are bracing for another intensely hot summer day, with the German Weather Service (DWD) predicting temperatures to climb above 30 degrees Celsius in the southern parts of the state. The heat is expected to peak in the afternoon, potentially reaching up to 34 degrees Celsius in these areas.

However, relief from the heat is on the horizon. The DWD anticipates the development of thunderstorms moving in from the northwest later in the day. While the southern regions face a higher risk of these storms, the North Sea islands will experience milder temperatures, peaking around 21 degrees Celsius.

The forecast for Sunday suggests a noticeable drop in temperature. The northwestern parts of the state will remain cloudy with scattered rain showers. Maximum temperatures are expected to hover around 25 degrees Celsius in the south, with the islands seeing highs of up to 20 degrees Celsius. Winds are predicted to be mostly light throughout the weekend.
