Weekend Weather in Bavaria: Persistent Rain Expected

In Greding, central Franconia, the market square was flooded after approximately 40 liters of rain per square meter fell within 20 minutes. Firefighters reported that the dry ground absorbed little water, leading to several flooded basements.

The weekend offers a slight reprieve, with the rain expected to move east by Saturday morning. While Saturday will see a mix of sun and clouds, isolated showers and brief thunderstorms are possible, especially in northern Bavaria. Southern Bavaria should remain mostly dry. Temperatures will range from 17 to 22 degrees Celsius. Sunday is predicted to be mostly dry with a mix of sunshine and clouds, and highs reaching 20 to 24 degrees Celsius.
