West Java Forms Special Team to Investigate Sumedang Deputy Regent's Misconduct Allegations

West Java's provincial government is establishing a dedicated investigation team to address serious allegations of sexual harassment and abuse involving Sumedang Deputy Regent Fajar Aldila and his personal secretary, identified only as R.

Governor Dedi Mulyadi announced the formation of the team on Friday, emphasizing that its purpose is to conduct an objective examination of the case. He urged all parties to exercise patience and refrain from forming opinions or making assumptions until the investigation yields its findings.

"We are forming an investigation team to examine the deputy regent of Sumedang so that the incident can be handled objectively, not based on opinions or assumptions," Mulyadi stated. He stressed that no further comments or narratives would be provided until the investigation is complete.

The allegations surfaced on social media, claiming that R, the personal secretary to the deputy regent, was a victim of abuse and harassment by Fajar Aldila. The provincial government's swift action aims to ensure a thorough and impartial inquiry into the matter.
