West Java Governor Demands Strict Sanctions for Healthcare Worker Who Insulted BPJS Patient

West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has announced his intention to request that the Mayor of Tasikmalaya impose strict sanctions on a healthcare worker. The worker allegedly insulted a patient covered by the national health insurance program, BPJS, who subsequently died. Mulyadi emphasized that healthcare professionals must refrain from making inappropriate remarks to patients, regardless of their insurance status.

The governor stated that the matter falls under the mayor's authority and that he would ask for sanctions to be applied according to existing regulations. This statement comes after reports surfaced about Yurizal Tri Chaerawan, who reportedly waited eight hours for treatment at an emergency room despite being a BPJS patient before his condition worsened and he passed away.
