When will the 2026 Coastal Safety Directorate hire workers? What are the requirements?

The Directorate of Coastal Safety (Kıyı Emniyeti Genel Müdürlüğü) in Turkey has announced a recruitment drive for 173 permanent workers across various roles. The application period is set from August 17 to August 21, 2026, and interested candidates must apply through the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR), with announcements to be published on İŞKUR's e-Şube platform.

To be eligible, candidates must have graduated from high school or an equivalent institution. They are also required to hold current and internationally recognized certificates and documents relevant to the job, such as STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers). Furthermore, applicants need to demonstrate a minimum of three years of maritime service experience, which must be documented.

Another key requirement is that candidates must not have reached their 36th birthday by the final application deadline. Successful candidates will be appointed after their security and archival investigations yield positive results. They will be deemed to have accepted the working conditions and duty locations determined by the Directorate.

All announcements regarding the application process will be made on the Directorate of Coastal Safety's website. Candidates are responsible for the accuracy of the information and documents provided during the application. False declarations will lead to the disqualification of applications or exams, and subsequent appointments will be revoked. The selection of candidates will be made through a public draw conducted by a notary on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Directorate's premises in Üsküdar, Istanbul.
