Where Will You Vote in Paraguay’s Municipal Elections? Check the Permanent Civic Registry

Paraguayans can now check where they will vote in the 2026 municipal elections through the Permanent Civic Registry, or RCP. The Electoral Justice enabled the service so citizens can verify their polling place, voting table and registration details.

The registry includes inscriptions and updates completed through Dec. 30, 2025. To consult it, voters must select “Consult my polling place,” enter their identity card number, provide their date of birth and press search.

Voters may cast their ballots with a physical identity card, whether the document has expired or remains valid. The receipt issued while processing an identity card and electronic identification are not accepted for voting.

Paraguayans living abroad will not participate in the municipal elections. Voting overseas with a physical identity card or passport applies only to national and internal party elections.

On Sunday, Oct. 4, voters in all 263 municipalities will elect mayors and members of municipal councils. The officials will serve five-year terms. Asunción’s council will have 24 regular and 24 alternate members. Departmental capitals and first- and second-group municipalities will have 12 of each, while third- and fourth-group municipalities will have nine regular and nine alternate members.
