White House Unveils Online Games About Deporting Migrants

The White House has introduced online video games that let players deport migrants and build a wall, prompting criticism from human rights advocates.

In one game, a digital head of the U.S. Border Patrol chases migrants near the Mexico border. Another, called “Build the Wall,” resembles Tetris, the classic computer game in which players arrange falling shapes.

Human rights defenders criticized the games, saying they dehumanize migrants. They also said the games show a lack of seriousness from the administration.

The White House defended the games as a way to showcase the president’s achievements. It also said they demonstrate the difference between the administration’s approach and the Democrats’ vision.
