Who travels the most on government assignments in Kulbergs' cabinet?

Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs and Defense Minister Raivis Melnis have undertaken the most foreign trips among government officials, each having traveled abroad four times since the current administration took office. This detail emerges from a review of ministerial travel.

Other ministers have also made multiple international visits. Interior Minister Jānis Dombrava has been on three trips, while the ministers of economy, justice, and finance, Viktor Valainis, Edvards Smiltēns, and Māris Kučinskis, respectively, have each made two.

A significant number of ministers have undertaken only one foreign trip. These include the ministers of welfare, transport, and health. Notably, three ministers from the National Alliance (NA) and one from the "United List" party have not yet embarked on any official foreign travel.

Upon taking office, Kulbergs had stated his intention to critically evaluate the necessity of ministerial travel, emphasizing that such trips incur costs for the state. He pledged to scrutinize his own travel plans, aligning with his earlier assertion that ministers should not travel excessively and that trips must demonstrably contribute to the government's declared objectives.
