Why I am supporting Donkemezuo for House of Reps — Dokubo-Asari

Alhaji Mujahid Abubakr Dokubo-Asari has publicly declared his support for Hon. Engr. Elvis Donkemezuo's bid to represent the Yenagoa–Kolokuma/Opokuma Federal Constituency in Nigeria's House of Representatives in 2027. The endorsement came during an event in Abuja where Dokubo-Asari, the Amanyanabo of The Source, Elem Kalabari, emphasized Donkemezuo's deep commitment to the Ijaw cause.

Dokubo-Asari stressed that the 2027 election should transcend party politics, focusing instead on electing representatives who grasp the history, challenges, and aspirations of the Ijaw people.

Donkemezuo's background includes serving as the pioneer coordinator of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Abuja Chapter and later as its president in 2013. He was also involved in the establishment of the Presidential Amnesty Programme for former Niger Delta militants and has been an advocate for environmental protection and development in the region. Dokubo-Asari pledged his unwavering support, promising to actively work towards Donkemezuo's successful election in 2027.
