Widower of Late Influencer Issues Blunt Message: “People Started Talking”

Tihomir Hitrec has asked the public to stop speculating about what will happen to his six children following the sudden death of his wife, blogger Kristina Kovačević Hitrec.

In an emotional message posted on Kristina’s Facebook page, he said he would care for the children himself and keep them together as a family. “People started talking about how others would take care of the children. The children have a parent. I will take care of them and keep us together so that we can remain a family,” he wrote.

Hitrec also warned that people were trying to exploit the family’s loss. He said false information had appeared, including requests for money to be sent to other people’s bank accounts. “Various bad pieces of information have started circulating, including money being collected into other people’s accounts. As Kristina’s husband, I did not provide my bank account number or hers for money to be collected,” he said.
