Wildberries logistics center burns after drone strike in Russia; man with guillotine arrested in Washington

A major logistics center for the Russian online retailer Wildberries in the Tambov region was engulfed in flames following a Ukrainian drone attack overnight.

Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov reported that the fire at the Kotovsk facility, belonging to Wildberries, spread across an area of 40,000 square meters. Employees were reportedly evacuated immediately after an air raid siren sounded. One person sustained injuries in the incident.

Russian authorities also reported Ukrainian drone attacks targeting other infrastructure. A Lukoil refinery in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region, was said to have caught fire. Additionally, Moscow's Mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated that 10 drones were shot down on the approaches to the capital, leading to temporary closures of Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports, with Vnukovo airport also experiencing disruptions.

The attacks occurred amid reports that the CIA director had landed in Moscow. Unconfirmed information suggests the U.S. had previously requested Ukraine refrain from attacking the Russian capital due to a high-ranking U.S. administration official's visit.

Meanwhile, in Washington D.C., U.S. Capitol Police arrested a man who had parked a pickup truck near the Capitol and Supreme Court. The truck's bed contained a guillotine. The man, who traveled from California, was arrested on charges of possessing a dangerous weapon. Investigators are examining his background to determine his motives for coming to the capital.
