Wildberries warehouses targeted in Ukraine drone strikes across Russia

Ukraine has intensified its drone attacks on Russian logistics centers, with multiple Wildberries warehouses reportedly targeted across Russia. The latest incident involved an attack on a Wildberries logistics hub in Volgograd, located over 350 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. The company confirmed damage and a fire at the site but stated that no one was injured and that operations are being rerouted to other facilities.

These strikes follow similar Ukrainian attacks on Wildberries facilities nationwide. Kyiv alleges that the e-commerce giant, a significant part of the Russian economy employing thousands, stores drone components and provides support to the Russian military. This accusation forms the basis for Ukraine's targeting of the company's infrastructure.

Wildberries reported that the Volgograd attack caused a fire, but emergency services responded. The company's Telegram channel indicated that "logistics chains were reorganized," with goods reception and order dispatch continuing from other sites. This suggests an effort to mitigate the impact of the attacks on its operations.

Previous attacks on Wildberries warehouses, including those in the Tambov and Moscow regions on July 18-19, resulted in eight deaths and the destruction of facilities. More recently, a drone attack in the western Penza region injured one person and led to the evacuation of over 200 employees. Another Wildberries warehouse in Sarapul, Udmurtia, was also damaged by a Ukrainian drone strike. These repeated attacks highlight a strategic effort by Ukraine to disrupt Russian logistical capabilities and economic entities perceived as supporting the war effort.
