Will August Still Surprise? Meteorologists Announce August Weather Outlook

Lithuanian meteorologists are forecasting a warmer-than-average August for the country. Based on the latest calculations from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) model, released by the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service (Meteo.lt), the average temperature for August is expected to be up to 0.5 degrees Celsius higher than the 1991–2020 climate norm.

This projected increase in temperature suggests that August could bring a continuation of summer-like conditions, potentially exceeding typical seasonal expectations. Residents and various sectors relying on weather patterns may need to adjust their plans in anticipation of this warmer spell.

In addition to the warmer temperatures, the forecast also indicates a potential decrease in precipitation. Meteorologists predict that rainfall in August could be up to 15% less than what is considered usual for the month.
