Woman allegedly stabs husband to death in Abia

A domestic dispute tragically escalated into murder in Aba, Abia State, where a woman, Sarah Nwaorji, is accused of fatally stabbing her husband, Innocent Nwaorji. The couple, who resided in the Seven-Up Company area of Aba North Local Government Area, hailed from the Amaise Umuokereke-Ngwa community in Obingwa Local Government Area.

According to a neighbor who requested anonymity, the incident was reported around 10 p.m. on Sunday. Sources indicate that the couple had an argument on Friday, culminating in the alleged stabbing on Sunday. Friends and associates of the deceased expressed shock, describing Innocent Nwaorji as an easy-going individual and questioning the motive behind the altercation.

The couple reportedly married in December 2025 and had not yet had children. The deceased's body has been deposited at an undisclosed mortuary in Aba, while the suspect, Sarah Nwaorji, is reportedly in police custody. Efforts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer of the Abia State Command for comment were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.

The couple only wedded last December. The marriage was yet to produce a child. Innocent was an easy-going person. What we heard was that the couple had a disagreement last Friday and his wife allegedly stabbed him to death at about 10pm on Sunday.
