Woman and child pulled from under truck wheels in Iași County

A woman and her 1.5-year-old child narrowly escaped a fatal accident in Moșna, Iași County, Romania, on Saturday. The pair was struck by a truck shortly after exiting a yard.

Emergency services, including firefighters and medical teams, responded swiftly to the scene. They successfully extracted the woman and child from beneath the truck. Both were conscious and received immediate medical care.

She will require surgery. The child, 1 year and 6 months old, was taken to Spitalul "Sf. Maria" Iași with a head injury and abrasions, in stable condition.

The woman is in the UPU of the Sf. Spiridon Hospital. It's a polytrauma, with fractures to the left femur, right wrist, and lumbar spine, without medullary involvement. She also has multiple contusions. The patient will be admitted to the orthopedics clinic and will require surgery. The vital prognosis is good. We hope that the functional outcome will also be favorable. The child was transported to the UPU of the Sf.Maria Hospital. He is hemodynamically stable, with contusions to the head and limbs.
