Woman killed by train while crossing railway tracks in Vietnam's Quang Ngai

A tragic accident occurred on the morning of July 18 in Binh Son commune, Quang Ngai province, Vietnam, resulting in the death of a 64-year-old woman. The victim, identified as P.T.T., was struck by the Thong Nhat SE10 train while attempting to cross the railway tracks.

The incident took place at approximately 6:21 AM at kilometer marker 906+500, within the section between Binh Son and Tri Binh stations. The train was traveling from south to north when it collided with the woman, who was crossing the tracks from west to east at an informal, self-made path.

According to local residents, P.T.T. was on her way to deliver breakfast to her father when the accident happened. She was reportedly crossing the railway line to reach her father's house.

Local police from Binh Son commune, in coordination with other relevant units, arrived at the scene to investigate the cause of the accident and process the site. The victim's body was handed over to her family for funeral arrangements after the necessary procedures were completed.
