Woman Remanded for Secretly Filming Prison Bus

A 46-year-old mother of two has been remanded in custody until August 4 after she was caught secretly recording a prison bus with her mobile phone. The incident took place in front of the Ududuma Magistrate's Court in Sri Lanka.

According to investigations, the woman, a resident of Hiniduma Halvitigala, concealed her mobile phone in a piece of paper while filming the bus carrying detainees. She was arrested following a complaint lodged with the police.

Police are currently investigating the motive behind the filming. They are examining whether the woman intended to use the video for any criminal activity. Authorities also noted that the woman's son is currently facing charges for possession of narcotics.

Further investigations into the matter are being conducted under the supervision of Chief Police Inspector Duminda Kannangara, the head of the Ududuma Police Station.
