World Cup winner fulfills promise with coach's tattoo

Spanish footballer Marc Cucurella has honored a promise made after winning the World Cup by getting a tattoo of national team coach Luis de la Fuente. The new ink, located on his forearm, depicts De la Fuente and the World Cup trophy.

Cucurella, who joined Real Madrid this summer, shared a photo of the tattoo on social media with the caption "Promise fulfilled." The defender played every minute of Spain's eight matches during the tournament, during which the team maintained a clean sheet seven times.

Coach Luis de la Fuente, who was the subject of the tattoo, humorously commented on the commitment. "I already told them, didn't they make a mistake? Yes, but they will enjoy it," he said. "I'm not so ugly that they have to tattoo me in a place no one sees. It entertains me and I'm proud that they keep their word."

During the World Cup, Cucurella also carried his wife's pajamas, which he believed brought him good luck.
