Xuan Hoa Ward Aims to Collect 5,200 Billion VND in Revenue in 2026

Xuân Hòa Ward in Ho Chi Minh City has set an ambitious target to collect 5,200 billion VND in state revenue for 2026. The ward is also prioritizing the acceleration of public investment disbursement and comprehensive health check-ups for its residents.

During a mid-year review meeting, officials reported that state revenue collection in the ward reached over 2,364 billion VND by June, achieving 55.1% of the projected 4,290 billion VND. The local economy also saw growth, with 593 new businesses established in the first half of the year, bringing the total number of active businesses to 8,475.

However, the pace of public investment disbursement is a concern. The ward is managing 24 projects across education, healthcare, culture, defense, and urban infrastructure, with a total planned capital of 40.5 billion VND for 2026. To date, only 2.325 billion VND, or 5.74% of the plan, has been disbursed.

The results of implementation must be evaluated by concrete effectiveness, avoiding generalities.

In social welfare, the ward provided support to 4,835 individuals during the Tết holiday with over 8.49 billion VND, and mobilized an additional 3.6 billion VND through social contributions. The local health station has established six continuous healthcare support teams with 66 collaborators covering 24 residential areas. Electronic health records are being created, with 22,340 out of 38,233 targeted individuals having their records digitized (58.4%). Health screenings have been conducted for 3,124 out of 48,143 people (6.49%).

Regarding administrative reform, the ward is processing 154 administrative procedures not tied to geographical boundaries, with 100% of hồ sơ (records/applications) handled correctly and on time. Nguyễn Đình Phát, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Ward People's Council, urged the ward's People's Committee to strive for the highest achievement of economic and socio-cultural development targets for 2026, emphasizing concrete results over generalities. He specifically called for increased focus on urban development projects, timely disbursement of public investment funds, and improvements in waste collection and environmental sanitation, areas of significant public concern.

The ward will also strengthen its support for businesses to overcome operational difficulties. Every Tuesday afternoon, the Standing Committee of the Ward Party Committee will dedicate time to receive and listen to the opinions of businesses.
