Yarmouk Club retains coach Khaled Al-Mutairi for new volleyball season

Yarmouk Club has placed its trust in coach Khaled Al-Mutairi, retaining him as the head coach for its first volleyball team for the upcoming season. This decision reflects the club's commitment to stability within its technical staff as the new season, set to begin in early September, approaches.

Al-Mutairi expressed gratitude for the board's confidence, stating it motivates him to work harder and deliver a season that meets the club's high expectations. He acknowledged the administration's crucial support and efforts in providing the necessary resources for the team's development and strong performance in local competitions.

In terms of player personnel, Cameroonian professional Ibrahim Adam has renewed his contract for a second consecutive season. His compatriot, Aba Mohammed, has also joined the squad as part of Yarmouk's preparations. The club is reportedly close to finalizing agreements with three local players to further bolster the team before the new campaign begins. The team commenced its preparations earlier this month, with a training program focused on enhancing fitness levels and ensuring players are technically and physically ready for the First Division League.

Meanwhile, the Kuwait Volleyball Association announced that the suspended season, halted in March due to regional circumstances, will resume in September. The association has also formed its committees for the 2026-27 season, naming Aref Al-Subaihi as chairman of the Competitions Committee, Adel Bounashi as head of the Referees Committee, and Dr. Abdullah Taleb as chairman of the Beach Volleyball Committee.
