YENİ Parti leader Özgür Özel visits Rize as part of Black Sea tour

Özgür Özel, the leader of the newly formed YENİ Parti, has commenced an extensive tour of Turkey's Black Sea region, marking the party's initial field engagement since its establishment on July 24. Following engagements in Trabzon, Özel is set to visit Rize on Saturday, August 22, to connect with local citizens.

The program in Rize is designed to offer a direct interaction with the community. Özel's schedule includes visiting local businesses along Atatürk Caddesi in the morning, followed by a public gathering on Cumhuriyet Caddesi in the afternoon. This outreach aims to understand the concerns and perspectives of the people in the region.

A significant part of Özel's visit will focus on environmental issues and local livelihoods. He is scheduled to visit a fishing village and later meet with women fishermen who are actively protesting against cage fish farming practices. This meeting is planned for the Zelek Port area in the Pazar district, highlighting the party's engagement with specific local challenges and environmental activism.

The YENİ Parti's initiative underscores a strategy of grassroots engagement, aiming to build a connection with voters across different regions of Turkey.
