Zadar Takes Commanding Lead in Croatian Finals After Road Victory Over Cibona

KK Zadar has seized the advantage in the Croatian Basketball League finals, defeating Cibona 87-70 in Zagreb to take a 2-1 series lead.

The decisive third game saw Zadar overcome an early deficit, with crucial three-pointers from Mihailović late in the third quarter extending their lead to 65-57. This momentum carried them through the final period, securing a victory that shifts the home-court advantage back to Zadar.

Earlier in the series, the teams had split the first two games played in Zadar. Cibona won the opener 74-72, but Zadar responded with a dominant 92-57 victory in the second game.

Vladimir Mihailović was instrumental for Zadar, scoring 25 points and adding four assists and three rebounds. Lovro Mazalin contributed 17 points, seven assists, and five rebounds, while Marko Ramljak added 14 points and nine rebounds.

For Cibona, Justin Roberson led the scoring with 17 points, supported by Krešimir Radovčić and Kamaka Hepa, who each scored ten points. The fourth game is scheduled for Sunday in Zagreb, where Zadar has the opportunity to defend their championship title.
