Zalgiris's message to Francisco: "At least you went to a team with green and white colors again"

Sylvain Francisco has departed from Zalgiris Kaunas to continue his basketball career with Panathinaikos Athens. The French guard was initially close to joining ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne, but that agreement did not materialize. Panathinaikos then moved swiftly to secure his signing.

The 28-year-old player has now relocated to Athens, remaining with a team that shares the same colors. After playing in Zalgiris's green and white, he will now wear the green and white of the "Trifylli," as Panathinaikos is known.

The management of the Kaunas-based club decided to bid him farewell in a unique way, posting a message on social media: "At least you went to a team that wears green and white again. Good luck, 'Cisco'." The post included a green heart emoji, referencing the team colors.

Francisco had earned the appreciation of Zalgiris's fans during his tenure. The Lithuanian team acknowledged his contributions and wished him the best in the new chapter of his career. The club also shared a link to their farewell message on X (formerly Twitter).
