Zelensky: Belarus deactivates relay stations used for Russian drones

Belarus has deactivated relay stations in its territory that were being used to guide Russian drones, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He announced on Wednesday that these facilities ceased operations on June 22, shortly after he issued an ultimatum to Belarusian authorities.

Zelensky stated that while the stations are no longer functioning, he currently lacks confirmation on whether they have been completely dismantled. "As of June 22, the relay stations have stopped operating on the territory of Belarus. Whether they have dismantled them or not, honestly, I don't know yet. But we are trying to find out," the Ukrainian leader said.

The announcement follows a demand made by Zelensky to his Belarusian counterpart, Aleksandr Lukashenko, last Friday. Zelensky had given Belarus one week to remove the relay equipment located in two regions near the Ukrainian border. He had also warned that the Ukrainian military might intervene if the stations were not deactivated.

Additionally, Zelensky requested that Belarus halt fuel supplies to Russia. This request comes as Ukraine has intensified its drone attacks on Russian oil refineries.
