Zelenskyy orders maximum strengthening of Ukraine by August

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has issued a directive for the country to be maximally strengthened by August, preparing for diverse scenarios and potential Russian actions in the autumn. The announcement came after a special meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff, following several days of discussions with corps commanders engaged in critical combat missions.

"Ukraine must meet August maximally strengthened and prepared for various scenarios and possible Russian actions in the autumn," Zelenskyy stated. To achieve this, the nation's defense strategy is being revised, with key directions for weapons production and supply to the military being established. This initiative aims to bolster Ukraine's defensive capabilities significantly.

During the special staff meeting, corps commanders, arms manufacturers, and representatives from state institutions convened to discuss crucial front-line needs, troop provisions, and shortcomings in certain military production examples. President Zelenskyy noted that this collaborative format was held for the first time, involving leaders from various military branches, defense industry enterprises, and government ministries.

Participants included commanders from the Air Assault Forces, the 10th, 11th, and 19th Army Corps, as well as representatives from the "Chartiya" and "Azov" brigades and Ukrainian defense industry companies. President Zelenskyy continues to hold meetings with military leaders to assess the situation on the front lines, address the army's needs, and further enhance the country's defense capabilities.
